Being back in school means getting back to work, moving from class to class, stopping at home to change or grab a quick snack then heading home to shower and go to bed. I find myself being on campus more than I am at home and one of the places you can always find me at is the 6th floor of Milner Library. This floor has a great view of campus and houses our K-12 library which provides me and sense of comfort and makes studying feel more comfortable. This is typically where I am in between classes and sometimes at night when I need to do my homework. Another place I really like to be on campus has to be the Bone Student Center, where there are really awesome hub rooms where you feel like you are in a little conference space and this really helps me focus while I’m studying. A few places that I love to go to off-campus are mainly coffee houses. My favorite being the coffeehouse which greets you with the warm smell of baked goods and coffee beans as soon as you enter. The environment is very student-friendly and they even offer free refills while you stay in the cafe. Another place I tend to frequent is Fusion Brew which is another coffee place but it also has boba tea which makes for a fun treat after spending a day studying. Having my own apartment has been really amazing and I love living with my roommates we are always laughing and having a good time and currently, we are watching Euphoria together which has been really fun. Finding time for a balance hasn’t been super difficult since a may way of getting together with friends and doing your homework is to have study groups, it makes studying much more fun and lets you see your friends all at the same time. As I begin to prepare for midterms I think about how I want to budget my time with getting things done and how I want to study. But, you always have to remember to leave room for fun because that’s what college is all about.
